Hi, I'm your friendly, somewhat intelligent Xfinity guy. What seems to be the problem with your modem?
Well, I connected my computer to it via Ethernet and it didn't issue a DCHP address.
But look, you see that little light right there? Its solid green. That means it's working.
No, it is not connected to the internet. I know that because my computer was not issued a DCHP address!
No, the Xfinity account is active. And the lights are all solid, meaning you can connect to the internet.
I will even show you, the router does not issue a DCHP address!
I know all about all of that stuff! Your router is working, and Xfinity is too! I deal with thousands of customers who say exactly that!
I'm seriously reconsidering using your service!
No offence to Xfinity or its affiliates. I understand that at least one of your technicians must have at least the barest qualifications for being a technician.
